This page explains how the reviews and guides on My Tako Cheena are put together, who decides what goes in them, and what to do when something here is wrong.
How a roundup is built
Every product in a roundup is measured against the same short list of things that change how an appliance behaves day to day: usable capacity, real wattage, control type, installation clearance, and how it is cleaned. A model only earns a place if it wins on at least one of those for a reader we can describe in a sentence – “if your counter is 30 inches deep”, “if you cook for one”.
Lists are not padded to hit a round number. If only five models out of a shortlist deserve a mention, the roundup has five. A title that promises eight will contain eight.
Where the information comes from
Specifications come from the manufacturer’s own documentation, checked against how owners describe living with the appliance. Where those two disagree, the disagreement is the interesting part and it gets written down rather than smoothed over.
We do not invent test results. Nothing on this site claims a laboratory measurement we did not make. When a claim comes from the manufacturer, it reads as a manufacturer claim.
Who writes and reviews
Articles are published under My Tako Cheena Editorial Team, the small group that researches, compares and writes the roundups. We use a team byline rather than inventing individual personas with fictional credentials.
Corrections
Specifications change, models get discontinued, and prices move. If something here is out of date or wrong, tell us through the contact page and include the model number and what you saw. Corrections get made in the article itself rather than quietly dropped, and the article’s modified date updates when they are.
Discontinued products are removed from roundups rather than left in place to collect clicks.
How money affects – and does not affect – what you read
My Tako Cheena is reader-supported. Some links to retailers are affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission when you buy through one. You never pay more because of it, and the full terms are on the disclaimer page.
A commission never buys a ranking, a paragraph, or the removal of a criticism. We do not accept payment for placement in a roundup, and we do not send drafts to manufacturers for approval before publishing.
What we do not publish
No sponsored posts dressed as editorial. No reviews of products we cannot describe concretely. No content written to fill a keyword rather than answer a question someone actually asked.
